The purpose of this project was, using a whole-system approach, to plant the seeds for a design-based culture at Design Lab Early College High School, and to integrate Design Thinking into the STEM program at the school.

The project included:

• Design Thinking introduction for students and parents

• Creation of student Design Team after school program to further the work at the school

An example of application: Teachers applied Design Thinking principles to project-based learning initiatives including the Cleveland Metropolitan School District Rock Your World With STEAM program at the Rock and Roll of Hall of Fame and Museum and the Great Lakes Science Center.
